My name is Katherine. I have enjoyed art since I was a young child. As an Artist, I have experienced how expressing oneself through creativity can be healing. I have a Masters of Science in Creative Arts Therapy from Nazareth College.
As a therapist, I embrace even the smallest amount of growth, and value an integrated, strength-based, person-centered approach with all of my clients. I focus on what they can do and help them to develop ways to use those strengths to overcome or compensate for their challenges. I help guide my clients to discover their potential. I believe art allows people to express themselves in ways that words cannot. I want all individuals to be able to experience the healing power of art.
I have worked with various populations and ages, including toddlers, children, adolescents, young adults, and elderly. I have experience working with individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (ADHD, Specific Learning Disability, language disorders, communication disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and developmental disabilities), anxiety/stress, Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), stroke survivors, neurocognitive disorders and those with dementia.
I know it takes courage to reach out for support. I provide a safe and supportive environment that will allow you to work towards discovering your potential and becoming your best self. I would be honored for the opportunity to work with you on your journey to healing. I look forward to hearing from you.
